So many times, we as believers, have a tendency to fall into tradition rather than in a real meaning relationship with God. Yeah, we dress-up for church on Sunday mornings, clap our hands all the way through the service, and still walk outside of the church doors cursing our neighbors, turning our backs on those in need, and ignoring things that really matter. We've mastered church on Sundays, but what about being the church from Monday to Saturday. What if we applied the same teachings that we learn on Sunday mornings to our daily life? What if we as believers in Christ could love our neighbors as ourselves? Forgiveness would become less of a struggle and compassion would actually become sincere. What if we could bear with one another in the arms of mercy and grace? We would be able to look beyond one’s fault and love one another unconditionally. My point is this, faith without works is dead. God did not save us to save ourselves. He sent us to be a light to those around. If we take our place as believers, God’s grace will abound. Learning of Christ is good, but living like Christ takes real work.

"There are three formless facts that create our reality from moment to moment. Like gravity, they exist whether we believe them or not. With them, not only do we create our world through our thoughts, but we also create our world 'of thought'. Merely by having an understanding of how they work allows us freedom from worry, stress and fear and opens us up to the infinite potential of the universe through creativity, compassion and love. And the way to access this inner source of wisdom is to DO NOTHING! Because we already have it. As the saying goes: 'You are already enlightened, you just don't know it yet ... '"--Publisher's description.

A FRESH TAKE ON THE INBORN CHARACTERISTIC OF RESILIENCE Most people are convinced that the key to rising above a perceived problem is to think about it, analyze all angles, and try hard to solve it. But the fact is: Problems in the world are mounting. War, famine, and strife exist at alarming rates. Not to mention that the level of respect within our families and communities seems to be fraying. Simply put, our behavior is not up to par these days; it is spiraling downward. Why? We’re not connecting the dots. In the arenas of psychology, teaching, coaching, and parenting, we’re using behavioral strategies to boost inner levels of clarity and consciousness—to no avail. So, if focusing on behavior isn’t working, what will? The Path of No Resistance provides a brand-new look at how human beings really overcome adversity. Along the way, Garret Kramer reveals the astonishing truth about what creates our troubles in the first place. And what we already know, deep down, that allows us to prosper in spite of any circumstance or situation. Offering an array of examples, Kramer demonstrates that resilience and contentment are—in principle—innate to everyone. He insists that calculated self-help methods are not the answer, and explains why insight, not intellect, is what fuels our ability to excel and give back to others.

This book covers the blood of Jesus Christ from the very beginning of creation. It shows that the entire Bible is about Jesus Christ and his blood that purchased man's redemption. The reader will not only be introduced to important aspects of the significance of His blood but also to the significance of the very lineage from which He came. The summation of these facts is that contrary to how it may often seem, there is still Power in the Blood of Jesus. Reverend Rudolph K. Roberts has dedicated his life to the work of the Lord. With more than three decades of preaching and singing and with five recorded musical CD's to his credit, Pastor Roberts has traded his initial talents well to now possess a stockpile of spiritual weapons...ready to destroy the enemy's kingdom. He is married to Enid Diane Roberts for over twenty-six years. They are blessed with six lovely children Rudeco, Zonovia, Rhema, Rumah, Reuel, Rudiel and one grand son, Kaden. A former schoolteacher, track athlete and coach, this motivator has continued to expand his borders in all facets of his life. A reward of such pursuits is his Doctorate Degree in Theology, which he earned at United Christian International Bible Institute in Cleveland, Tennessee. Rev. Roberts currently pastors the Whole Man Christian Center, and has been doing so for the past nineteen years. He is also the founder and President of the Rev. Rudolph K. Roberts International Faith Ministries.

The collection of documents known as the Kaqchikel Chronicles consists of rare highland Maya texts, which trace Kaqchikel Maya history from their legendary departure from Tollan/Tula through their migrations, wars, the Spanish invasion, and the first century of Spanish colonial rule. The texts represent a variety of genres, including formal narrative, continuous year-count annals, contribution records, genealogies, and land disputes. While the Kaqchikel Chronicles have been known to scholars for many years, this volume is the first and only translation of the texts in their entirety. The book includes two collections of documents, one known as the Annals of the Kaqchikels and the other as the Xpantzay Cartulary. The translation has been prepared by leading Mesoamericanists in collaboration with Kaqchikel-speaking linguistic scholars. It features interlinear glossing, which allows readers to follow the translators in the process of rendering colonial Kaqchikel into modern English. Extensive footnoting within the text restores the depth and texture of cultural context to the Chronicles. To put the translations in context, Judith Maxwell and Robert Hill have written a full scholarly introduction that provides the first modern linguistic discussion of the phonological, morphological, syntactic, and pragmatic structure of sixteenth-century Kaqchikel. The translators also tell a lively story of how these texts, which derive from pre-contact indigenous pictographic and cartographic histories, came to be converted into their present form.
